1. Wear a Genuine Smile
Nothing will make you look older and more tired than wearing a perpetual scowl. When we smile it activates all the good muscles in our face and tells the world that you are confident and happy.
2. Exercise. Duh!
Yes I know, you have heard it a million times. Eat right, and work-out. But seriously it's probably the key to everything. It's hard, I get it, but start small. Take the stairs instead of an elevator or escalator. Don't cut through the park, walk around. Get off one bus stop earlier than you need, and walk the difference.
3. Stop Helping the Clock.
Doctors always say "first do no harm," and the same applies here. Most of us tend to think, meh, I already have wrinkles showing, the damage is done. It's not, you are excusing bad behavior. So if you smoke, now it's time to quit, that is destroying your insides but it's killing your skin too. Spend too much time in the sun? Stop. Wear Sun Screen, and Moisturize. Bottom line, don't do things that actively speed up the aging process.
4. Give Your Skin What It Really Needs
Eat a balanced diet, and get those vitamins in. Your skin needs the right nutrients to continue to glow. So often we neglect to care for our skin, thinking all we need to do is dab on some moisturizer once or twice a week. No. Eat Healthy, take supplements.
5. Treat Yourself & Mask Yourself
There is nothing more relaxing than sitting down at the end of the day with a great glass of wine, an amazing face mask, and a great book. I try and do this 2x a week, if only to get some me time. Find a great Hydrogel Face Mask and let it envelop your skin with all the nutrients you need, while you kickback and relax.
